Dec. 7th, 2015 04:21 pmIt's good to be starting a new project, Feuilly reminds himself. It is, it really is: he's had trouble finding things to do, now that his fan commission is complete and his translation for Fawkes is done. He's been feeling selfish, lazing about the way he has been. So it's...good, to be staring at an empty notepad, an open laptop, and a stack of books, with no idea how to begin.
It's good.
Feuilly looks down at Hector, who is snoring and has no advice about pedagogy.
He looks over at his door, and hopes it opens with an interruption.

Date: 2015-12-08 12:44 pm (UTC)Feuilly laughs at Harry's level look, and gives his shoulder a little prod. "It can't be that bad. --I've looked a little at, at the kind of things people were writing in your time--" His ears, predictably, color. "The mix of Latin, French, English--three languages to learn, and it's still that way in my time, more or less, if you go to school. It's--" Frustrating. "--You could teach children in Paris the best French, and without Latin they still couldn't go to any sort of higher school. But at least they could read the journals and know what's happening--"
Sorry, Harry, Feuilly is off on one of his dearest topics.
